Looking for a Spanish-speaking wedding officiant in Phoenix?
Didi is an ordained minister who performs weddings in Arizona in Spanish, English or both. She’s a good fit if you want to get married at home with your family, or if one side of the family speaks Spanish and the other speaks English.
In Arizona, a legal marriage needs a valid Arizona marriage license (A.R.S. § 25-121), a ceremony performed by someone authorized to marry people, such as an ordained minister (A.R.S. § 25-124), and at least two witnesses age 18 or older who take part in it (A.R.S. § 25-125). The ceremony doesn’t have to take place at a courthouse or in front of a judge.
How does it work?
You get the license and pick the place, and Didi takes care of the ceremony and the signed license:
- Get your marriage license from the Clerk of the Superior Court (or a Justice Court) in any Arizona county.
- Message us on WhatsApp with the date, time, city, venue and the language you want for the ceremony.
- We confirm the date and talk with you about how you’d like your ceremony to go.
- On the day, Didi performs the ceremony, and the two of you, your two witnesses and Didi sign the license.
- Didi returns the signed license to the Clerk of the Superior Court within 30 days of the wedding, as Arizona law requires (A.R.S. § 25-123), so it can be recorded.
To get the license in person, you both go together, each with a valid government-issued photo ID. In Maricopa County it costs $98, you get it the same day and can marry that same day. If at least one of you lives in Arizona and the wedding is 30 or more days away, the Clerk also takes applications online and mails the license.
The Maricopa County Clerk also accepts a Matrícula Consular as ID, as long as the consulate issued it using biometric verification such as fingerprints.
These details come from the Maricopa County Clerk’s marriage license page, read in October 2026. Check it before you go, since the Clerk can change the fee.
What language can the ceremony be in?
Whichever you choose: all Spanish, all English or both. A bilingual ceremony helps when the grandparents speak Spanish and your friends only speak English, or the other way around, so nobody misses your vows.
How much does it cost?
Send us the date, city and type of venue, and we’ll confirm the price of the ceremony on WhatsApp.
What should you have ready on the day?
Your license and your two witnesses:
- Your original Arizona marriage license, still valid. It expires one year after it’s issued.
- Two witnesses age 18 or older who attend the ceremony and sign the license.
The ceremony can happen in your living room, your backyard or a reception hall. You choose the place, and Didi comes to you to perform the ceremony.
Mistakes we help you avoid
- An expired license. Check the issue date: you have one year to get married.
- A license from another state. To marry in Arizona, you need an Arizona license.
- Witnesses who don’t show up or are under 18. Without two adult witnesses, the wedding doesn’t meet Arizona law.
- Leaving the license at home when the wedding is somewhere else. Didi needs the original to sign it and return it to the Clerk.
Why Didi?
Because she leads the ceremony in your family’s language, or in both, and takes care of returning the signed license to the Clerk after the wedding. Didi is an ordained minister, and she comes to your home or the venue you choose.
If you later need your marriage certificate translated or a document notarized, we do that too: see our certified translations and notary public services.
